Role:
AMES Australasia is currently seeking an experienced HR Adviser to join our P&C team due to company growth. The role of HR Adviser will have a major focus on HR generalist activities for our largest Australian site and warehousing facility in Dandenong South and work closely with our experienced P&C Team.
You will be responsible for:
- Provide general HR advice and guidance to both blue and white-collar employees
- Lead new employee onboarding and induction programs
- Responsible for providing training, coaching, and counselling to develop a strong team and improve retention.
- Conduct incident investigations with managers and reporting as required including taking witness statements, root cause analysis and report writing,
- Offer performance management and disciplinary action advice to management
- Participate in the development of risk management programs to facilitate cultural change for employees at all levels to ensure that managers, supervisors and workers are empowered and accountable to address any WHS issues.
- Drive Health, Safety, Wellbeing initiatives for staff
- Lead proactive duties such as risk assessments, WHS audits, hazard inspections and other risk management activities and accurately use and maintain information and recording systems
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR information systems to ensure data accuracy
- Partner with HR Team and Payroll to assist in the administration and support of employee remuneration
About You
Ideally you will have a proven background in a similar Human Resources Advisor role within a DC or Warehouse environment. You enjoy a challenge, have a strong ability to influence stakeholders and are passionate about building a positive work culture.
We are seeking someone with;
- Prior Human Resource experience working in a generalist capacity (preferably within a warehousing environment)
- A tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management, a business-related discipline, or a relevant job-related field
- Sound knowledge of Australian Human Resources practices
- Must have experience in WHS/OHS
- Organised and efficient work practices with the ability to prioritise your workload and multitask
- Confidentiality, discretion, and sound judgment
- Effective interpersonal (both written and verbal) communication skills
- Intermediate-Advanced MS Office Skills
