We have a great position for a Construction Manager to help shape this growth by using their knowledge and proactive attitude to lead and deliver projects, develop, review and implement processes & procedures while promoting a strong safety focus.  

This position will work across industries such as mining, construction, oil and gas, and renewables. To succeed in this role, you will have the ability to:

  • Strong safety focus and have a proven ability to implement safety strategies throughout the concept and delivery phases of the project
  • Have proven ability to successfully communicate with clients to ensure that their desired outcome for the project is delivered
  • Previous experience in working with clients to compile a project scope of works to then translate into project estimates and budgets
  • Organise and coordinate construction activities in accordance with construction schedules to complete the works on time whilst constantly monitoring the status of planning, safety, environmental and quality activities.
  • Ensure all activities relating to quality are performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, codes, and standards, which form part of the contract.
  • Maintain good client relationships and lead a multi-disciplinary team to meet defined project targets.
  • Attend project, pre-construction, and tender meetings to review and plan for project success.
  • Ability to assist with compiling and submitting formal tender proposals to stringent quality standards and to strict deadlines
  • Experience in managing project claims and variations along with trade forecasting;
  • Continuously monitor project performance, including financial forecasting, budgets, revenue, and gross profit margins.
  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with both new and existing clients.
  • Engage with local community and industry events to foster positive relationships and expand networks.

About You

  • At least 5 years’ experience within construction projects
  • Relevant Trade qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering or related field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with all stakeholders including clients, suppliers and operational staff.
  • High level business and commercial acumen.
  • Strong negotiation and risk management skills.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing budgets and ensuring cost control.
  • Ability to travel domestically, ensuring presence at the construction site when needed.
  • Have a high attention to detail, excellent time management and organisation skills;
  • Outstanding leadership, communication and planning abilities with a passion for working in a face paced environment
