Beach Energy is now seeking a Supply Chain Lead. As we continue to grow and adapt in an ever-evolving market, we recognise the critical role that a robust and technologically advanced supply chain plays in our success. We are seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Supply Chain Lead to join our team and spearhead our digital improvement initiatives.
The Supply Chain and Logistics team are responsible for supporting the organisation in achieving its full potential by accelerating the delivery of value through supply chain, logistics and digital procurement process through performance improvement initiatives.
About the RoleThis role assumes responsibility for leading data-driven initiatives to transform Beach’s supply chain to be best in class through originating, defining and leading initiatives to optimise cost of end-to-end supply chain processes, eliminating process pain points, driving digital transformation in procurement, and elevating the function’s status as a trusted advisor.
The role also plays a critical role in managing group wide supply chain & logistics activities and performance of logistics service providers supporting Onshore and Offshore operations.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with the company’s overall goals, with a strong emphasis on digital transformation.
- Drive supply chain excellence through initiatives and processes across Domestic Logistics (General + Condensate), International Logistics, Inventory Management, Import/Export Management and Procurement
- Build and maintain a national logistics cost baseline across the business and assist Supply Chain & Logistics Group to manage logistics budget and costs.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement digital tools and technologies to enhance supply chain operations.
- Drive the adoption of automation, data analytics, and other digital solutions to improve efficiency, visibility, and decision-making across the supply chain.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to integrate new technologies seamlessly into existing systems.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to ensure a reliable and cost-effective supply chain.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure project goals are met and digital initiatives are successfully integrated.
The successful candidate will have strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to deliver change in a complex environment. Previous experience in supply chain and operations consulting is highly preferred, along with:
- Extensive experience in supply chain, logistics & procurement
- Previous leadership experience a must
- Proven experience in leading digital improvement initiatives within the supply chain domain.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes and best practices.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and digital tools.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire teams.
