Critical Leadership Position

**The Company**
This Australian business is recognised as a market leading retail business, selling innovative products through a broad network.They have a number of state-of-the-art distribution facilities across ANZ that manage the movement of a niche product range through diverse channels. This business has rapidly carved out a significant market share, becoming one of the leading companies in ANZ. As they have continued to grow they have a need to recruit a strategic operations leader to drive best practice across the operations function and continue the drive for excellence.
**The Role**
Reporting to the CEO and playing a key part of the executive leadership team, this critical role requires a process-led approach and commercial acumen and is responsible for all supply chain activities including logistics operations, inventory management, planning and strategic supply chain projects.
- Lead and manage the supply chain team across logistics (warehouse and distribution) inventory fulfilment, and supply.
- Direct or coordinate the development of projects that cover all Supply Chain areas to deliver improvements in processes, systems, cost, efficiency, customer service and supplier performance.
- Identify and develop business initiatives in the supply chain and wider areas to support the current and future business growth.
- Work with the executive team to develop supply chain strategies.
- Analyse information about supply chain performance to develop processes to improve the movement of products from suppliers through to the Distribution Centres and into the customers.
- Lead the development in supply initiatives and working closely with the Merchandise team to manage product requirements planning, inventory control, warehousing, or transport.
- Working closely with the supply chain team to analyse inventories to determine how to reduce waste and/or optimise customer service, ensuring the reduction of stock-outs as well as improving forecast accuracy.
- Working closely with the freight forwarder and international shipping relationships to ensure products are moved in the most efficient manner.
- Manage and build strong relationships with 3PL (warehouse and transport) providers; ensuring the organisation is getting the best and more efficient service possible.
**The Person**
To be successful in attaining an interview you must led change and driven improvements across operation within a food, pharmaceutical, consumer products or retail environment.
You will be a passionate and driven supply chain professional that has the ability to lead a team to deliver outstanding results. Experience leading a end-to-end supply chain will be essential, as will your communication and presentation skills.
