Job OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager to join our Group Supply Chain team. This is a key role that will champion safety and sustainability at our manufacturing site.
The successful candidate will report to the Senior EHS Manager and be responsible for ensuring the implementation of health, safety, and environmental standards. They will also drive programs to improve workplace safety and compliance.
This is a pivotal role in creating a safe and efficient work environment for a 350-strong workforce operating in a dynamic 24/6 shift structure.
Key Responsibilities- Develop local EHS procedures and implement national requirements
- Drive EHS incident and risk management processes through coaching and support
- Implement and monitor national safety and wellbeing programs
- Oversee compliance with EHS standards and regulatory requirements
- Conduct internal and external audits, supporting corrective actions
- Collaborate with site leadership and regulatory bodies for smooth operations
- Deliver training programs to build safety awareness and drive cultural change
- Formal qualifications in Health and Safety (Diploma or higher)
- Proven experience in EHS roles within medium to large organisations, ideally in FMCG or construction
- Expertise in compliance and safety management systems
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, influencing diverse stakeholders
- Strong facilitation, change management, and organisational agility
- Experience with return to work and injury management
