With over 35 years’ experience working with Defence and with the recently awarded 6-year Firefighting Services contract, 2024 is an exciting time to join Ventia.  In support of this newly awarded contract, Ventia are seeking a Training & Capability Coordinators to join their global and diverse organisation. 

About the role 

Based in Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney, Brisbane or Perth this role will see you providing training, coordination and administration support to delivery and evaluate Firefighting learning and engagement programs.  

This position is primarily responsible for: 

  • Contributing to the development of an annual training schedule that meets identified Firefighter training needs and longer-term strategic learning and engagement plans ensuring the contracts to training commitment compliance. 
  • Co-ordinating the successful planning and execution of Firefighter learning and development programs and initiatives. 
  • Supporting the Fire Capability managers, Fire Station managers and Station Officers by providing proactive, strategic input in the development and implementation of initiatives, policies and procedures. 
  • Ensuring the information on the Learning and Engagement Invent site is regularly maintained and accurate.

About you:  

  • Relevant entry level qualification in business administration, training or similar/ equivalent experience. 
  • Practical knowledge of contemporary and progressive Learning and Organisational Development practices. 
  • PowerBI or other data-system training highly regarded. 
  • Experience in planning, developing, implementing administrative processes and skills. 
  • Experience in guiding, supporting and influencing stakeholders in relation to training programs.  

You must be an Australian citizen and able to maintain a Department of Defence Security Clearance to Apply.
