WOW Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accounting and Business Manager for our established client in Sydney  Our client is a luxury homewares brand with multiple locations across Australia and a strong online presence

As an Accounting & Business Manager, you will manage all internal accounting operations, ensuring accurate reporting on performance, cash flows, and budgeting. As a key figure in the business, you will oversee all aspects of operations to ensure the efficient running and profitability of the company, contributing to its long-term success and growth.

What you will be doing?

  • Manage daily bank reconciliations, sales journals, and purchase invoices.
  • Manage weekly payroll for full-time and casual staff.
  • Weekly reconciliations of cash takings, stores, and online sales.
  • Manage BAS returns lodgements, payments, ATO payment plans, and cashflow budgeting, including petty cash reconciliation and GL reconciliations.
  • Maintain and manage weekly, monthly, 6-monthly and annual cashflow projections.
  • Maintain and manage monthly, 6-monthly and annual purchase budgets.
  • Liaise with external accountants on ad hoc matters and prepare for the end of the financial year.
  • Monitor, prepare and maintain current and future Business loans and Government Grants.
  • Maintain Business Insurance and Worker's Insurance Australia-wide.
  • Review contracts relating to New Supplier agreements or Financial Products.

What do you bring?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA certification preferred.
  • 5 + years of experience in accounting, financial management, or a similar role.
  • Experience working autonomously in a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficient in Xero & Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
