The purpose of this role is to deliver long-term sustainable value to the Blackmores business through the execution of robust sourcing strategy and supply partnerships, either directly through the categories the role is immediately responsible for, or indirectly through leading and inspiring the wider direct materials sourcing team members. Responsibilities include:

Lead the direct materials and contract manufacturing team members, comprising the Packaging Technologist, Contract Manufacturing Category Managers, and Ingredients Category Managers, one with direct reports. Develop, lead and own the long-term sourcing strategy for our packaging landscape (or other categories as required). Deliver long term sustainable value to Blackmores through the execution of robust sourcing strategy and processes. Simplify our external supplier network to drive efficiencies and improve supplier performance across quality, delivery, service, sustainability, and ethical sourcing with enhanced supplier partnerships.  Drive continuous improvement within Blackmores as well as our strategic supplier base, with capability to manage significant change management initiatives with senior internal and external stakeholders.

Who are you?

Experienced in people leadership, including direct line management and team engagement. Demonstrated experience and execution of Strategic Sourcing practices including strategy development and execution, negotiation planning and execution, contract development and supplier relationship management. Possess strong business / commercial acumen and have the capability to partner with senior business stakeholders and influence change. A proven track record in delivering long term sustainable value to an organisation. Experience in sourcing / procurement category management in the FMCG, healthcare or food production industries. A mindset and willingness to drive organisation continuous improvement, both within Blackmores as well as our strategic supplier base.
