About the Role: 

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Principal Project Delivery Manager to lead and enhance our project and program delivery capabilities. This pivotal role requires a strategic leader with extensive experience managing complex, multidisciplinary projects and programs. You will play a crucial role in building strong client relationships, driving business development, and ensuring exceptional project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Delivery: Oversee and manage complex multidisciplinary projects and programs, ensuring high-quality outcomes while exemplifying Jacobs’ vision and values.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong rapport with clients and delivery partners. Understand client needs and communicate effectively to meet and exceed expectations.
  • Safety and Risk Management: Prioritize safety, manage risks, and drive Jacobs’ Beyond Zero culture of caring. Implement safety initiatives and ensure compliance with safety in design requirements.
  • Business Development: Engage with leadership in operations, sales, and market solutions to drive business development, support work-winning activities, and engage in commercial negotiations.
  • Team Development: Lead and support team capability building through knowledge sharing, mentoring, and succession planning. Foster a culture of excellence, inclusion, and resilience.
  • Project Compliance and Performance: Ensure project/program work complies with scope, agreements, statutory/regulatory requirements, and client standards. Monitor and report on progress, risks, issues, and financial performance.
  • Documentation and Support: Facilitate the production of documentation to support construction, field activities, and commissioning as required.

Qualifications and Skills: 

  • Proven experience in managing high-complexity water infrastructure projects/programs. 
  • Strong business acumen and experience in commercial negotiations. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strategic and innovation mindset. 
  • Authentic and empathetic leadership with a focus on coaching, mentoring, and building high-functioning teams. 
  • Resilience in the face of change and adversity. 
  • Ability to drive business initiatives and deliver "best for project/program" outcomes. 
  • Experience in implementing QA procedures and managing programs of work, budgets and change effectively.
