Company & Role:
  
Australian Engineering company, that designs, supplies, and installs large Capital Equipment. They pride themselves on taking projects from initial concept to commissioning. 

Supporting the Engineering Design Manager, responsibilities will include 3D CAD modeling and the occasional 2D design of components for large industrial rotational equipment, liaising with sales, logistics, and aftermarket teams, and supporting end users.

Key responsibilities:

  • Drafting support for Engineers and Projects teams. 
  • Interpret general sketches from sales teams. 
  • General drafting, mechanical, and structural. 
  • Creating new drawings and models of mechanical, and structural components for documentation and manuals, in Autodesk Inventor. 
  • Design and drafting of mechanical components – Chutes, Scrapers, motor-driven pulleys, feeders, belts, gearboxes, couplings.
  • Technical drafts of walkways, and staircases. 
  • Perform some basic design calculations. 
  • Designed to Australian standards. 
  • If senior, guide and assist junior team members. 

  
To be a successful fit for this full-time/permanent role, you will have:

  • Time served, TAFE qualification.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D modeling Inventor. 
  • Good knowledge of AS standards.
  • Knowledge of heavy industrial equipment. 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
