Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Civil Engineering Draftsperson to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Civil Engineering Draftsperson, you will be responsible for transforming design concepts into detailed technical drawings and plans, ensuring that all projects are accurate, functional, and compliant with relevant standards and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create precise technical drawings and plans for various outdoor projects, including site layouts, grading plans, drainage systems, and structural elements.
- Work with engineers, designers, project managers, and landscapers to develop and refine design and drawing concepts, ensuring they are feasible and practical for construction.
- Verify that all drawings and plans comply with relevant building codes, standards, and regulations, including safety and environmental guidelines.
- Make necessary adjustments to drawings based on feedback from architects, designers, engineers, and clients, ensuring that all revisions are accurately documented.
- Assist in the preparation of project documentation, including technical reports, specifications, and material lists.
- Proficiently use CAD software to produce high-quality drawings and 3D models, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Participate in site visits to gather data, take measurements, and verify conditions, translating this information into accurate and detailed drawings.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, new materials, and construction techniques to continuously improve the quality and efficiency of the work.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Diploma or higher qualification in Civil Engineering Drafting or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in drafting for civil engineering projects, preferably in outdoor commercial and residential construction.
- Advanced skills in CAD software, with the ability to produce both 2D and 3D drawings.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce precise and accurate technical drawings.
- Solid knowledge of relevant industry standards and safety regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and clients.
Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $70,000 - $95,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
