What this opportunity involves:

Smithfield Shopping Centre is a vibrant retail destination located in the heart of Cairns, Queensland. With a wide range of renowned brands, exciting entertainment options, and exceptional dining experiences, we offer an engaging and dynamic environment for shoppers.

We are currently seeking a talented and creative Marketing Manager to join our team at Smithfield Shopping Centre. As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and driving marketing strategies, campaigns, and initiatives to enhance the overall brand image and customer experience at our shopping centre.

An overview of the role:

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans to drive footfall, enhance customer engagement, and increase customer loyalty.
  • Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to support their marketing initiatives and ensure brand consistency.
  • Manage and leverage digital marketing channels including social media platforms, website, email marketing, and digital advertising.
  • Plan and execute engaging events, promotions, and activations to attract shoppers and increase dwell time.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, stay ahead of competition, and optimise marketing efforts.
  • Create and manage the marketing budget effectively.
  • Measure and analyse the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the retail or shopping centre industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing strategies, social media platforms, and content creation.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Excellent project management and organisational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Experience in event management and coordination is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using marketing analytics tools to measure campaign performance.
  • Creative mindset and ability to think outside the box for innovative marketing ideas.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate and build relationships with tenants, stakeholders, and team members.
