This innovative program provides entry-level roles designed for individuals keen to contribute to community wellbeing. You’ll receive comprehensive support from ATSICHS Brisbane, high-quality training from TAFE Queensland, and paid, hands-on experience. Best of all, ATSICHS Brisbane covers all educational costs, including funding for a Diploma in Child, Youth and Family Intervention

Duties
- Provide holistic support to families facing social and emotional wellbeing challenges.
- Build individual capabilities in parenting, financial management, physical health, and stress management.
- Promote healthy family routines, effective household management, and nutritious eating.
- Assist young people to stay connected with family, education, and employment.
- Coordinate with other ATSICHS Brisbane health services for holistic care.
- Empower clients to understand their backgrounds and challenges, fostering self-determination and change.

Required
- A strong interest in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and the challenges impacting their health and wellbeing.
- Workforce experience that demonstrates your ability to work effectively in a structured environment, manage tasks, and interact professionally with others.
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information with integrity.
- Computer literacy skills and ability to complete administrative tasks efficiently.
- Working with Children’s Card (Blue Card) or eligibility to apply.
- Current National Police Clearance or ability to obtain.
- Current First Aid Certificate, including CPR, asthma, and anaphylaxis, or willingness to obtain.
- Valid Queensland Driver's Licence.
- Willingness to travel within the Greater Brisbane and Logan regions and work across different sites.
Preferred
- Covid 19 requirements – immunisation history showing you have received two doses of a Covid 19 vaccine is encouraged.
