The Role
As Administration Manager - Housing & Homelessness, you will be responsible for overseeing the provision of high-quality administration support services within the Housing & Homelessness service. Encompassing support across multiple facets of business operations, a key outcome of this position is ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services to all internal and external stakeholders.

This position will be based at one of the largest immediate crisis supported accommodation facilities in Queensland. This 84-room facility provides a 24/7 service that supports adults who are homeless. Your role will work autonomously however you are part of a broader team consisting of one (1) Program Manager, two (2) Team Leaders & fourteen (14) Client Outcome Facilitators. 

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Oversee and manage databases, programs & systems including Centrepay administration and processing of invoices and purchase orders.
  • Oversee and manage meal ordering for the clients, ensuring dietary requirements are met.
  • Working in collaboration with the facility's contractors and liaising with the housekeeping team, Program Manager, and/or Team Leader to manage client intakes and exits relative to room cleaning requirements and maintenance issues.
  • Coordination of building maintenance, including logging maintenance calls, closing maintenance requests and liaising with multiple tradespeople and external contractor teams.

This is a fixed-term (until 30/06/2025) full-time (38 hours per week) on-site rolein Spring Hill. Monday to Friday, business hours.

To be successful in the role, you will meet the following criteria:

  • Relevant Tertiary or TAFE Qualification or equivalent experience in Business Administration or Management 
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of administration support functions within a multi-faceted business 
  • Ability to take ownership, use critical thinking, exercise judgement and problem solve
  • Previous management experience within an administration support team is desirable
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills, with the ability to move quickly between activities while juggling multiple tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively & professionally communicate with varying stakeholder groups, including internal and external.
  • Computer literacy including strong proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and Outlook 
  • COVID-19 vaccination status is recommended for this role but not a mandatory requirement
  • Understanding of and commitment to the philosophy of the St Vincent de Paul Society Queensland and an ability to work in accordance with policies and procedures to promote the values and mission of the Society
