About The Role

Reporting to our Payroll Manager, working in a team of 4, you will be responsible for assisting with the full payroll function servicing approximately 2800 employees. This role is a permanent position.

Other key responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for Preparing, balancing and reconciling PAYG tax.
  • Ensure payments to employees and staff are made accurately and on time.
  • Identify, build and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Responding to pay enquiries in a timely manner.
  • Ensure confidentiality while completing all payroll and implement up to date information on changes to payroll and taxation legislation.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally within the childcare industry.
  • Strong Experience with the Chris21 Payroll System
  • Time & Attendance experience - Ento, Riteq, Kronos or other relevant timesheet-based systems.
  • Sound understanding of Industrial Awards and experience in interpretation and application.
  • Knowledge of legislative requirements in respect to PAYG, FBT, payroll tax and EEO principles.
