Head of Supply Chain

The Head of Supply Chain will be responsible for the smooth operation of the Supply Chain department, which consists of inbound shipment (AU only), outbound couriers and warehouse operations. The focus in these departments is on cost saving and continuous improvement initiatives. This role will have the opportunity to set up the long-term strategy for logistics planning including leasing and setting up new warehouses, negotiation of courier and freight forwarding contracts and inventory management.

The Exciting Role:

Oversee three functions, including Inbound transportation, Warehousing team, and Outbound transportation (domestic and international)Develop and implement logistics strategies to determine the most cost-effective distribution solution in local market to ensure the timely delivery of all orders and meet customer's satisfaction. Manage and optimize the warehouse management & procurement process, including warehouse Order management, receiving, picking, inbound and outbound processes, contract negotiation with logistic suppliers. Ensure transportation invoices are accurate and actively update master data to support accurate cost to service. Actively promote a culture of collaboration within supply chain function and internal stakeholders. Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency. Recommend optimal transportation modes, routing, equipment, or frequency. Schedule and direct inbound or outbound logistics operations, such as transportation or warehouse activities, safety performance, or logistics quality management. Develop and optimize policies or procedures for warehouse and logistics activities. Recruit, supervise, coach and train warehouse workforce. Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeliness KPI. Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.

What You'll Bring:

In-depth knowledge of local logistics legislation, relating to warehousing Familiar with a variety of the supply chain concepts and practices, such as building up a new warehouse. Proficient strategic planning skills and strong financial and budget management skills Minimum 10 years’ experience in shipping and logistics industry, 8 years’ management skills Degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Business, Warehousing or equivalent Ability to build a team culture that drives performance.
