Procurement and Supply Chain Specialist

Metricon Homes, Australia's largest home builder, is seeking a highly skilled Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst to join their team. As a key member of the Procurement and Supply Chain team, you will play a critical role in implementing significant changes across the supply chain and providing timely analytical and support to the relevant Procurement Category Manager and other key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain price files and master item databases, ensuring quality control and accuracy.
- Assist in sourcing new suppliers, including reviewing trial periods and ensuring compliance with business objectives.
- Administer supplier allocations as approved by the Category Manager, ensuring seamless supply chain operations.
- Complete category-specific analysis reports, comparing all required elements under the direction of the Category Manager.
- Prepare monthly performance reports, benchmarked against KPI targets, to ensure supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Contracts Administration Manager to generate and maintain supplier agreements, ensuring compliance with business objectives.
- Participate in other projects as nominated, working collaboratively with the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager to deliver results.

- Qualified in a business or related discipline, with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a relevant organization role or 2 years' experience in Estimating, Site Management, or a related field.
- Advanced computer literacy skills, particularly in MS Office and Windows environments, with expertise in Excel.
- Knowledge and experience with distribution, logistics, and forecasting systems.
- Knowledge and experience using various systems and project methodologies.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate available time and resources for maximum effectiveness.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Strong procurement process understanding.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
