Procurement and Supply Chain Expert

Metricon Homes, Australia's largest home builder, is seeking a skilled Procurement and Supply Chain Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for implementing significant changes across the supply chain and providing timely analytical and support to the relevant Procurement Category Manager and other key stakeholders.
The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processes and a proven ability to analyze data and make informed decisions. You will also have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Development and maintenance of price files and master item databases
- Assist in the sourcing of new suppliers, including review of trial periods
- Administer all supplier allocations as approved by Category Manager
- Complete category-specific analysis reports comparing all required elements under direction of Category Manager
- Complete monthly performance reports benchmarked against KPI targets
- Assist the Contracts Administration Manager with the generation and maintenance of supplier agreements

Requirements:
- Qualified in a business or related discipline with 2 years experience in a relevant organisation role or minimum 2 years experience in a Estimating, Site Management or related role
- Advanced computer literacy skills - MS Office/Windows environment particularly Excel
- Knowledge and experience with distribution, logistics and forecasting systems
- Knowledge and experience using various systems and project methodologies
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate available time and resources for maximum effectiveness
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of the team
- Strong procurement process understanding
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
