Fresh Produce Group have a number of horticulture roles available across our table grape and citrus farms. We have farms and packing sheds located in Red Cliffs and Colignan. 

Production Horticulture Supervisor

We are looking for Production Horticulture Supervisors to join our farming teams. The key responsibilities are:

• Work with the Farm Managers to ensure all operations are efficiently and successfully carried out to horticultural standards.
• Organise and manage work programs including irrigation, soil monitoring and pest programs.
• Assist in farm operations including but not limited to preparing and managing harvest, weed control, tractor operations and ground works, manage irrigation control and fertiliser systems, identify and report pests, and chemical application.
• Supervise farm labour, including directly employed, contract and seasonal workforces.

Salary range: $73,000 to $90,000

Horticulture Grower

We are looking for Horticulture Growers to join our farming teams. The key responsibilities are:

• Work with the Farm Managers to organise and conduct farming operations, as well as to plan and coordinate the production and marketing of crops.
• Maintain crop production by cultivating, de-budding and pruning, and maintaining optimal growing conditions.
• Oversee general farming activities such as fertilising and pest and weed control.
• General farm maintenance as required.
• Record maintenance as required.

Salary range: $73,000 to $90,000

Horticulture Section Manager

We are looking for Horticulture Section Managers to join our farming teams. The key responsibilities are:

• Liaise with the Farm Managers, Agronomists and Production Horticulturalists as required.
• Ensure that seeding, planting, grading and picking of the crop meets specification.
• Ensure that seed stock, levels and usage are managed as per company procedures.
• Ensure that all seeding equipment is maintain as per procedures.
• Coordinate farm labour, including directly employed, contract and seasonal workforces.
• Maintain records and label crops as required. 

Salary range: $73,000 to $90,000

Section Supervisor

We are looking for Section Supervisors to join our farming teams. The key responsibilities are:

• Liaise with the Farm Managers, Agronomists and Production Horticulturalists as required.
• Ensure that crop treatments are carried out as per established procedures.
• Oversee section to ensure that grading and picking are carried out as per company procedures.
• Monitor operations to ensure work quality.
• Supervise farm labour, including directly employed, contract and seasonal workforces.
• General farm maintenance as required.

Salary range: $73,000 to $80,000

Mobile Plant Operator

We are looking for Mobile Plant Operators to join our farming teams. The key responsibilities are:

• Operating farm machinery, such as a tractors and attachments.
• Maintenance and calibration of sprayers.
• Operating tractor attachments for harvest and non harvest farming activities 
• Other tractor operations on the farm as required
• Undertaking chemical spraying, including fungicides, insecticides, and herbicides.
• Operating tractor-drawn and self-propelled plant to plough land and sow, fertilise, cultivate and harvest crops
• Maintaining production and work records and writing work reports 
• Servicing plant and performing minor repairs

Salary range: $73,000 to $80,000

Machinery Supervisor

We are looking for Machinery Supervisor to join our farming teams. The key responsibilities are:

• Supervising, overseeing and operating farm machinery, such as a tractors and attachments.
• Supervising and overseeing maintenance and calibration of sprayers.
• Operating tractor attachments for harvest and non harvest farming activities 
• Coordinating work demands and scheduling for farm operators. 
• Undertaking chemical spraying, including fungicides, insecticides, and herbicides.
• Operating tractor-drawn and self-propelled plant to plough land and sow, fertilise, cultivate and harvest crops
• Coordinating servicing plant and performing repairs

Salary range: $73,000 to $90,000

About you

We're looking for candidates who share our values and passion to contribute to the success of our table grape and citrus farming operations. To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

• Prior experience managing, leading or supervising on a horticulture farm, including experience in overseeing labour, growing, irrigation, and working to financial outcomes.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate and develop a team.
• A strong drive to achieve and a passion for farming.
• A background in agronomy, irrigation, table grapes, or citrus will be highly regarded.
• Prior experience operating a tractor and other farm machinery will be highly regarded.
• Comprehensive knowledge of horticulture practices.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to problem solve.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Self-motivation and the ability to work both in teams and independently.
