About the opportunity
At Mercy Health, each moment, no matter how small, truly matters - and as a Maintenance Officer, you’ll help create a safer environment for our residents. You will be an active leader of the home and community where communication is valued and continuous improvement is promoted in accordance with accreditation and aged care standards. You will lead a culture that promotes positivity and safety while delivering our Model of Care that focuses on the individual emotional and physical needs of the resident.
Responsible for on-going repairs and preventative maintenance of building, plant, equipment and furniture.
Assist with identifying and actioning health and safety issues to provide a safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.

You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining
Trade based qualification or more than 3 years’ experience in a commercial maintenance position, desirable
Current driver’s licence.
Working knowledge of Work Health and Safety standards and regulatory maintenance frameworks relating to residential aged care.
Police check and/or National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Clearance.
Current COVID-19 certificate, proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
