**About the Role**
As a key member of the Indigenous Strategy team, your role will be crucial in supporting the delivery of the University's Indigenous strategy and other projects and initiatives. You will provide high-level assistance on a range of projects and support internal and external reporting on Indigenous strategies, plans, programs, and initiatives. Additionally, you will provide executive support to the University's Indigenous governance mechanisms and project working groups, and assist in coordinating events.

Enhancing the strategic communications capabilities of the Indigenous Strategy Portfolio is a key aspect of your role. This will include creating newsletters, supporting the maintenance of websites, designing targeted brochures, and establishing a social media presence.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Providing project and operational support as part of the Indigenous Strategy team.
- Significantly contributing to the University’s internal and external reporting obligations.

Your interpersonal and strong written and oral communication skills will be critical as you provide executive support to committees and support a varied range of projects and initiatives. You will also have:

- Relevant tertiary qualification and/ or employment experience;
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and flexibly both as a team member as well as independently;
- High-level analytical skills and problem-solving capability;
- High-level computer skills, particularly in the use of Excel;

The Indigenous Strategy team supports the University’s Indigenous leadership led by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Indigenous as follows (but not limited to):

- University Indigenous Strategy development, monitoring, and reporting
- External Indigenous strategy and outcomes reporting
- Murmuk Djerring: Indigenous Strategy - range of Signature Projects implementation
- Supporting academic divisions, Chancellery, and affiliated organisations with developing and progressing their Indigenous strategies
- Profiling the University’s leadership and expertise in Indigenous higher education
