About the role

The Communications and Content Coordinator is a 6-month contract position created to support the internal communications team during a busy period of projects. You will be our in-house ‘news hound’ taking the lead on developing stories that focus on our passionate people and their amazing achievements.

From sniffing out an angle, to interviewing experts and crafting compelling content, this role is dynamic and purposeful.

A typical day could entail:

Creating a high-quality, engaging story for the Women’s staff intranet, newsletter, social media and other channels.Liaising with subject matter experts (e.g. nurse, midwife, medical staff member, allied health professional, researcher, volunteer, leader) to conduct an interview and capture audiovisual content.Proposing a story lead based on hospital developments, achievements or trends.Creating a sense of fun, connection and inclusion by collaborating with teams across the hospital to share celebratory ideas, photos and other digital content.Profiling a person or initiative that supports the Women’s wellbeing programs and diversity and inclusion initiatives.Developing materials for the hospital’s internal and external events, such as the Women’s International Day of People with Disability annual staff event, International Women’s Day breakfast event, and Staff Excellence Awards.Brainstorming content ideas for a communications campaign to support the successful delivery of the Women’s strategic priorities.Providing support and advice to colleagues, helping to build a team culture of collaboration, respect and creativity.

About the department

In this role, you will be a key member of the Communications Department, which is responsible for: enhancing the Women's brand and reputation; supporting the organisation’s business and advocacy goals; and building engagement and trust with a broad range of stakeholders including current and prospective staff and volunteers.
