The Role:
As the Specifications Manager, you will be integral in building and nurturing relationships within the architecture and design (A&D) community, specifically focusing on securing product specifications for educational institutions and public sector projects. Your expertise will drive brand visibility and foster enduring partnerships with architects, designers, project managers, and decision-makers within councils and schools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Specification Development: Identify and secure product specifications across educational and public sector projects, driving product adoption in new and existing markets.
- Client Engagement: Build and manage relationships with architects, designers, contractors, and key stakeholders, positioning our client as the go-to provider for outdoor seating solutions.
- Project Collaboration: Act as the liaison between project teams and internal departments to ensure product specifications meet client needs and align with our client’s standards of quality and sustainability.
- Market Insight: Stay abreast of trends within the A&D community to anticipate client needs and adapt product offerings to evolving market demands.
- Presentations and Training: Deliver impactful presentations and product training sessions to clients, ensuring an in-depth understanding of our client's offerings and value propositions.
- Reporting and Analysis: Regularly report on specification progress and project pipelines, offering insights to inform strategic planning and product development.
About You:
- Proven experience in a specifications or business development role within the construction, architectural, or related industry.
- Strong understanding of the A&D industry, especially within the educational and public sector.
- Excellent communication skills, with a talent for building rapport and credibility across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Highly motivated and results-driven, with a strategic mindset and a collaborative approach.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices within the furniture or construction industries is a plus.
