Responsibilities
General Handyperson duties (maintenance of retail supermarket store, including shop fitting, painting, carpentry, tiling and welding) Competent in operating general maintenance equipment Plan and carry out preventive maintenance throughout the store to ensure standards are maintained. Carry out general repairs and maintenance to the store and attend service requests by store or duty managers.
The Person
Forklift and working at heights license is advantageous Previous experience in general maintenance and repair work Previous trade experience across shop fitting, painter, carpenter, tiling or welding is preferred Physically fit A great work ethic and ability to learn Good communication skills with a flexible approach Follow work safe procedures Proficiency in a wide range of maintenance tasks Strong problem-solving abilities to diagnose issues and develop effective solutions Ability to work independently and demonstrated initiative in a remote community
