About the Role

As a Project Management Officer (PMO) in our Home Loans Portfolio, you’ll play a key role in helping ANZ be the best bank for people who want to save for, buy or own a sustainable home. This role is responsible with providing support and helping to drive the effective delivery of a key strategic initiative across the Home Loans Portfolio and partner Businesses. With a focus on governance, financial management and delivery tracking of initiatives within the Program, you will work closely with the Project Management Office Lead for Home Loans Delivery & Transformation and the Program Initiative Lead to provide analysis and information to facilitate informed decision making, monitor and track costs, support tracking of benefits realisation, and drive effective risk management practices across the Program.

What will your day look like?

As a PMO, you will:

Working collaboratively with the Program Initiative Lead and Project Management Office Lead to implement appropriate, tailored governance frameworks and effective risk and issue management, as well as create strategies for planning, monitoring and delivery of projects Tracking and monitoring delivery progress, owning and managing key program documentation, and providing regular reports on status to the required forums with a view to making recommendations on any shifts or re-prioritisation  Ensuring all Program financials and resources are tracked, budgeted and forecast within clearly defined processes. Ensuring monthly and quarterly financial reporting is in place, visible and reported in an accurate and timely manner, including analysis on variances, providing recommendations on forecast adjustments, and providing the required financial submissions/forecasts to the relevant teams Provide strategic oversight for program management and monitor interdependencies with other initiatives and programs, as well as reviewing / updating of business and benefits case of the program Building and maintaining effective relationships and communication with stakeholders; anticipating and responding to evolving key stakeholder group needs and managing the delivery of Program communications Managing onboarding and supporting key vendors, including delivering and/or coordinating training for vendor staff in the project management system, processes and tools used by the program Support the Home Loans Portfolio to embed and uplift PMO activities and the operating rhythm across the Home Loans Delivery and Transformation team 

What will you bring?

To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in project / program management in large and complex organisations Proven ability in financial data analysis, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation Experience in documenting financial reports and budget outlines to executives Developed mechanisms in tracking and maintaining of project management standards, processes, policies, and tools Working knowledge and experience of various project methodologies and systems i.e. Agile, ANZ Delivery Framework; proficient in the use of ARIBA and PPM, JIRA and Confluence Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail Excellent organisational skills and technical abilities, suitable to fast-paced, complex program delivery environments Good interpersonal and multi-tasking and influencing skills  Ability to structure clear, fact-based and compelling strategic insights, business cases and narratives to create buy-in across the organisation will be highly regarded Relevant training and/or certifications as a Project Management Officer
