You'll work closely with clinical and administrative teams to support private and compensable patient processes, manage overseas visitor billing, and provide education to staff on revenue procedures.
This position operates on a 7-day rotating roster and plays a key role in enhancing both patient experience and financial outcomes.

Remuneration: $36.45 - $37.29 per hour

Responsibilities
Support patient admissions and financial classification across NBMLHD facilities.
Assess patient eligibility and maintain compliance with NSW Health policies.
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support private and compensable patient processes.
Manage overseas visitor billing and provide education to staff on revenue procedures.
Contribute to improving patient experience and financial outcomes.
Qualifications
Exceptional customer service, verbal communication and negotiation skills; ability to have difficult conversations with patients and families.
Willingness and ability to work a 7-day rotating roster with demonstrated flexibility.
Accurate word processing skills and competent use of Word, Excel and electronic patient records.
Ability to work independently and problem solve with limited guidance.
Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise competing demands to ensure timely completion of work.
Ability to write clear and accurate documentation and correspondence.
Accurate judgment in applying financial classifications, NSW revenue-related policies and the Australian Health Care Agreement principles.
Ability to undertake documentation reviews and quality checks.
