We design, manufacture, and install modular buildings for education, affordable housing, mining, custodial and commercial sectors across all mainlands Australian states. Our recreational vehicle work includes servicing as well as manufacture and distribute leading products. We work as One Fleetwood across our group of companies, including Building Solutions, Community Solutions and RV Solutions.
**About the role**:
The Transport Team Leader is responsible for coordinating the successful transport of modular buildings and associated materials with a strong focus on safety, quality, schedule, and cost. You will be responsible for the supervision of Fleetwood teams and the coordination and supervision of contractors. Leaning on your experience you will play a key role in the coordination of our transport activities within our Queensland operation. This role requires you to hold a Heavy Combination license and will be based out of our Crestmead facility.
**The key responsibilities of the role are**:
- Ensuring that all transport is conducted in line with statutory requirements and in line with the drawings/plan, codes, regulations & Fleetwood's policies and procedures.
- Ensure all works are conducted in line with project schedules.
- Attend daily pre-start meetings, providing constructive input in relation to transport activities.
- Issue feedback through the design team & look for ways to improve overall job performance (via OFI forms)
- Co-ordinating preferred contractors to provide services in line with project schedules.
- Managing budgeted hours for the team
- Arrange and coordinate transport contractors (Trucks, Pilots etc.) to complete delivery works.
- Align delivery schedules with the Truck Drivers.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed in line with the fatigue management plan.
- Ensure all deliveries have the required permits.
- Ensure safe loading and unloading of the modules for delivery.
- Ensure all relevant Fleetwood ITP's, Pre departure forms etc. are completed as required.
- Ensure all required servicing maintenance is kept up to date on all heavy vehicles and trailers.
- Ensure all permits are kept up to date as required.
- Drive heavy vehicles as required.
**About you**:
**To be successful in this role you will demonstrate**:
- 3+ years of experience within Transport
- Heavy combination driving licence.
- Experience in Transport of oversized loads.
- Trade background
- Strong results orientation, and a proven track record of delivering on time, on budget and to required safety and quality standards.
- Strong analytical and evaluation skills including the ability to identify and implement strategies for improved delivery.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Works well under pressure.
- Fatigue Management accreditation and demonstratable experience with the National Heavy Vehicle accreditation scheme (preferable)
