Overview

Team Leader (Continuous Applicant Pool) – Department of Transport and Main Roads. Queensland Shared Services is recruiting permanent Team Leaders in Payroll Services in Brisbane and Townsville, with backfilling/temporary roles in Rockhampton, Townsville and Brisbane for varying periods.

This position is part of the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) following Machinery-of-Government changes. CDSB is currently negotiating a certified agreement; Core Agreement conditions apply in the meantime.

There are multiple positions available with multiple work statuses in multiple locations across Queensland. Please advise your preferred work location and position status in your application.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will apply your knowledge and experience in payroll service delivery to:

  • Lead a functional team to deliver best-practice human resources, payroll, and establishment services to customer agencies, ensuring high-quality service and compliance with legislative and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement operational team procedures and performance measures to achieve strategic objectives while meeting service level agreements and budget constraints.
  • Develop and manage team workflow delegation methods to optimise performance, monitor workflow volumes, maintain internal controls, and ensure high standards of accuracy and efficiency.
