We are seeking an experienced leader to head the School Transport Program.
This role requires a high level of expertise, strategic thinking and strong leadership skills to shape the future of school transportation in Queensland.
Key Responsibilities:- To lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the School Transport Program ensuring that all aspects meet the required standards.
- To develop and implement strategies to improve the program's performance, efficiency and effectiveness.
- To build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, schools and parents.
- To oversee the recruitment, training and development of staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver the program's objectives.
- Bachelor degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g. transport management, education, public administration).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role within the transport sector or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in policy development, implementation and evaluation.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and project management skills.
The successful candidate will be offered a competitive remuneration package, including salary, superannuation and leave entitlements. Additionally, opportunities for career advancement and professional development will be available.
Other InformationThis is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm. Occasional travel may be required for meetings and site visits. The ideal candidate will be based in Brisbane, but relocation assistance may be provided for the right candidate.
