About Queensland Parliamentary Service
The Queensland Parliamentary Service (QPS) is an independent agency that provides a range of services and facilities to support the operation of the Queensland Parliament.
The Catering Services department operates four outlets within the precinct: Strangers' Dining Room and Lucinda Bar, Members' Dining Room and the Cafe. The department also manages the bookings and coordination of our 12 function spaces for events held within the parliamentary precinct. Events include parliamentary events, private functions and public ticketed events.
Your Opportunity
Unique opportunity for a Sales and Event Coordinator - working Monday to Friday
**As the Sales and Event Coordinator, you will**:

- Provide administrative support to catering outlets as needed.
- Prepare proposals, contracts, event orders, and manage billing and invoicing.
- Plan and organise events across precinct venues, coordinating all logistics and liaising with internal departments to ensure seamless delivery for the event.
- Produce detailed event documentation and communicate with stakeholders.
- Offer clients guidance on venue spaces, menus, and AV/IT options, whilst ensuring health and safety requirements are maintained.

Skills & experience
- Proven track record in sales/event management with at least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience with Ivvy is advantageous.
