**The impact you'll be making**

As the Industry Business Development Lead for the Microsoft Technology Centre, Australia & New Zealand, you will be working with some of the largest and most influential organizations in the country. You will be at the heart of how Microsoft customers are innovating, and at the centre of how Microsoft is delivering industry thought leadership with those customers and partners.

Our network of global Microsoft Technology Centres are premium customer-facing facilities built to help enterprise and strategic customers solve their business challenges through innovative cross-workload solutions. We accelerate our customers' digital transformation by understanding their needs and help them create the business opportunities of tomorrow.

In this role you will incubate and grow our new industry capability and team within the Microsoft Technology Centre in Sydney, Australia. You will lead this team to design, develop, and launch key industry experiences and capabilities. This will involve collaborating with other industry thought-leader peers globally and localising those experiences for the Australian market. You will also partner with our largest global system integrator and technology and software partners in Australia to jointly showcase industry relevant technology solutions and support these partners to build their own innovation centres.

As an industry thought leader, you will provide industry-specific sales leadership within Microsoft, enabling the Microsoft sales teams to deepen their industry acumen and develop more relevant and credible industry-aware partnerships with our customers. As part of the Microsoft Technology Centre, you will also be part of a world-wide community of exceptional peers and have access to the latest industry solutions and showcases. You'll be given the time and budget to develop as a globally influential business development and technology leader across multiple industries and will be at the forefront of developing a scalable industry-first approach for Microsoft Technology Centres.

**Responsibilities**:
**The purpose of this role**:

- Incubate and build an 'industry-first' value proposition for our largest and most strategic customers
- Create and launch new connected customer experience across multiple industries in the Microsoft Technology Centre in Sydney, Australia.
- Invent and deliver a partnership model with our largest GSI and technology partners to create industry innovation flywheels within their respective businesses
- Drive "big bold ideas" with customers that impact commercial success and close large, multi-year, market-making digital transformation partnerships and wins leading to accelerated growth of Microsoft's Industry clouds.
- Lead and facilitate ideation and envisioning, enterprise level strategic discussions with customers centred on business solutions with CxO/LOB stakeholders.
- Deliver Operational Excellence, manage and optimize time spent collaborating with customers and lead orchestration with core account team to realize value by exceeding customers' expectations.

**Qualifications**:
**What skills do you need to have?**

There will be many opportunities for you to learn and grow into this role and Microsoft. However, to be able to best deliver on the purpose of this role, these are the core skills and experiences you should have on day one:

- Business development acumen to create and deliver shared value with large commercial and public sector organisations (relevant experience over 5+ years)
- Industry awareness and depth in at least one of the following industries: Healthcare, FSI, Education, Retail, Manufacturing, Energy/Utilities (relevant experience over 5+ years)
- Successful sales experience working with large organisations who are adopting and investing in transformational programs of work across the enterprise (relevant experience over 8+ years)
