**The contribution you will bring to this role**:
Reporting directly to the Manager Spill Crew, this is a key role in expanding business development activities and new business sales, therefore, playing a key role in the company's bottom line. This position is based at our manufacturing facility in Thomastown. It focuses on driving new business on the East Coast of Australia through a growing distributor customer base. This role will create sustained growth by achieving and surpassing aggressive sales targets, expanding business reach and proactively developing new sales opportunities across the region.

Our sales team is dedicated to building and maintaining strong relationships, ensuring that we deliver the best possible outcomes for our partners and customers. With a strong focus on customer satisfaction, you will be part of a team that is recognized for its commitment to excellence and customer-centric approach.

**What you will do at Spill Crew**:

- Be knowledgeable about all Spill Crew product lines and confidently answer questions for prospective customers in a timely manner.
- Identify prospective customers, lead generation and conversion.
- Achieve sales targets set for the month/year.
- Contact new and existing customers to discuss needs.
- Emphasize the features of products to highlight how they solve customer problems.
- Negotiate prices and terms (within limits) and prepare sales quotes.
- Maintain contact list and follow up with customers to continue relationships.
- Occasionally assist Accounts Payable with the collection of deposits on new orders and progress payments on outstanding balances.
- Keep abreast of best practices and promotional trends in the industry.
- Continuously improve through feedback.
- Build and maintain relationships with our distributors, including reaching relevant vertical and end users. Develop a best-in-class process for distributor management resulting in share growth and cross-selling.
- Educate distributor partners on how to sell Spill Crew safety products.
- Conduct joint visits to end-users with product sales specialists to educate them on our products and to help them improve their end-user engagements.
- Manage and leverage strong relationships with current clients while also developing and identifying new business opportunities.
- Attending industry functions, association events and conferences to learn feedback on industry developments in workplace safety products and market trends. Travel as required to project sites, exhibitions, and corporate and customer offices to meet with clients.

**Your skills and expertise**:
To ensure your success from day one in this role, Spill Crew requires the following qualifications at a minimum:

- 5+ Years of proven success in sales with over half of this in territory sales management and demonstrated experience in a multi-channel sales environment.
- Ability and willingness to travel at 50% or greater.
- Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:_
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, analysis software.
- Experience building and managing large distributors and third party sellers, deep sales process knowledge and history of successful installation of the sales process, experience in implementing and managing a metrics-based sales organization.
- Demonstrated comfort making decisions in a faced-paced environment.
- Customer focus, ensures accountability, strategic mindset, motivating and inspiring, communicates effectively, strong commercial and financial acumen, strong networking, and communication skills.
- Highly motivated and target driven with a proven track record in sales.
- Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills to expedite the resolution of customer problems and complaints to maximize satisfaction working collaboratively with other departments. Excellent selling, communication and negotiation skills.
- Prioritizing, time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to create and deliver presentations tailored to the audience's needs.
- Relationship management skills and openness to feedback.
- Strong Customer Service skills to listen to concerns of a customer to be able to address their needs.
