**Job Title:** Virtual Infrastructure Specialist
Our team is seeking an experienced Virtual Infrastructure Specialist to join our IT infrastructure team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing VMware vSphere environments.
### Responsibilities:

• Design and implement VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter and virtual machines

• Configure and maintain VMware High Availability (HA), DRS clusters and resource pools

• Conduct performance tuning, system optimization and capacity planning

• Manage VM lifecycle tasks including provisioning, snapshots, templates and cloning

• Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure using vRealize, SolarWinds or similar tools

• Integrate VMware platforms with SAN/NAS storage and virtual network configurations

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies using native and third-party tools

• Ensure infrastructure compliance with internal policies and industry regulations

• Maintain thorough documentation of systems, processes and change management records

• Provide expert support and consultation to internal IT and business stakeholders
### Requirements and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field

• Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience managing VMware infrastructure

• Proficient in VMware vSphere 6.x/7.x/8.x, vSAN and VMware Cloud solutions

• Strong background in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory and core networking (DNS/DHCP)

• Scripting experience in PowerShell or Python for automation tasks

• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across virtual, storage and network layers

• Excellent communication and documentation skills

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) or higher

• ITIL Foundation or Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSE)

• Experience working within financial services or regulated IT environments
