Job Title: Virtual Infrastructure Professional

We are seeking a seasoned Virtual Infrastructure Specialist to join our IT team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing VMware vSphere environments with efficiency and precision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter and virtual machines with optimal performance.
  • Configure and maintain VMware High Availability (HA), DRS clusters and resource pools for seamless integration.
  • Conduct thorough performance tuning, system optimization and capacity planning to ensure business continuity.
  • Manage VM lifecycle tasks including provisioning, snapshots, templates and cloning with ease.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure using vRealize, SolarWinds or similar tools with technical expertise.
  • Integrate VMware platforms with SAN/NAS storage and virtual network configurations for efficient data transfer.
  • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and backup strategies using native and third-party tools to minimize downtime.
  • Evaluate and ensure infrastructure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies to safeguard the organization.
  • Maintain thorough documentation of systems, processes and change management records for transparency and accountability.
  • Provide expert support and consultation to internal IT stakeholders on virtual infrastructure matters.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field to demonstrate academic excellence.
  • Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience managing VMware infrastructure with a proven track record of success.
  • Proficient in VMware vSphere 6.x/7.x/8.x, vSAN and VMware Cloud solutions with up-to-date knowledge.
  • Strong background in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory and core networking (DNS/DHCP) for comprehensive understanding.
  • Scripting experience in PowerShell or Python for automation tasks with efficient code writing skills.
  • Able to troubleshoot complex issues across virtual, storage and network layers with analytical thinking.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills to effectively collaborate with team members.
  • VMware Certified Professional (VCP-DCV) or higher to demonstrate advanced expertise.
  • ITIL Foundation or Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSE) for professional development.
  • Experience working within financial services or regulated IT environments for adaptability and flexibility.
