Expert VDI Specialist

Highly skilled experts are required to lead the planning, implementation, and support of desktop Virtualization technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality and modern employee experiences by mentoring through the development of Endpoint Platforms.

About the Role:

  • Take ownership and support of Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), and Horizon environments.
  • Provide expert-level support for evergreen SOEs.
  • Collaborate with project, architecture, SOE, and Infrastructure teams.
  • Be a thought leader and knowledge specialist in VDI.
  • Deliver organisational software lifecycle management policies and procedures.
  • Offer 3rd Level technical support to BAU and Operations teams when needed.
  • Stay ahead of cloud computing trends, evaluate emerging tools and services, and optimize cloud infrastructure efficiency.
  • Participate in on-call rotations to provide essential infrastructure support.

Requirements:

  • A minimum 10 years experience with implementation and support of VDI technologies.
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in Azure and Intune cloud management technologies.
  • Experience working with authentication identity management solutions, specifically Active Directory and Entra (Azure Active Directory).
  • Strong Experience with Implementation and support of SOE.
  • Strong Experience in creating and maintaining VDI Golden Images and supporting them.
  • Strong Experience with the implementation and support of Citrix NetScalers.
  • Strong experience with understanding Networking concepts.
  • Experience in Windows 10 or Windows 11 and Windows Server 2019 or Windows Server 2022 Systems Administration.
  • Experience running a VDI environment hosted on a VMware and Azure / AWS platform.
  • Experience with Hypervisor technologies.
  • Application management and publishing via Intune and SCCM.
  • Strong expertise in platform automation scripting.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex problems.
  • Proven ability to work within deadlines with minimum supervision.
