Virtual Infrastructure Specialist

  • We are seeking a skilled Virtual Infrastructure Specialist to join our IT team.
  • This role will involve the design, implementation and management of virtual infrastructure solutions.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter and virtual machines.
  • Configure and maintain VMware High Availability (HA), DRS clusters and resource pools.
  • Conduct performance tuning, system optimization and capacity planning.
  • Manage VM lifecycle tasks including provisioning, snapshots, templates and cloning.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure using vRealize, SolarWinds or similar tools.

Requirements and Experience

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is required.
  • At least 3 years' experience managing VMware infrastructure is necessary.
  • Proficiency in VMware vSphere 6.x/7.x/8.x, vSAN and VMware Cloud solutions is essential.
  • A strong background in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory and core networking is also required.
