VMware Virtualization Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced VMware Virtualization Specialist to design, implement, and manage virtualized environments using VMware vSphere.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implementation: Design and implement VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, and virtual machines.
  • Configuration and Maintenance: Configure and maintain VMware High Availability (HA), DRS clusters, and resource pools.
  • Performance Tuning: Conduct performance tuning, system optimization, and capacity planning for virtualized environments.
  • Virtual Machine Lifecycle Management: Manage VM lifecycle tasks, including provisioning, snapshots, templates, and cloning.
  • Infrastructure Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure using vRealize, SolarWinds, or similar tools.

Requirements and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years' hands-on experience managing VMware infrastructure.
  • Proficient in VMware vSphere 6.x/7.x/8.x, vSAN, and VMware Cloud solutions.
  • Strong background in Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, and core networking (DNS/DHCP).
  • Scripting experience in PowerShell or Python for automation tasks.
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues across virtual, storage, and network layers.
