**About the Program**

The NDIS aims to give people with disability better access to personalised, high quality, and innovative supports and services. A specific focus is to enhance the independence, social, and economic participation of people with disability and their carers. The NDIS uses a person-centered approach that aims to increase choice and control.

**About the Role**

The Support Coordination/NDIS specialist role is a dual position that entails providing NDIS Support Coordination as per Support Coordination position description. This role will support and guide the Support Coordination/Recovery Coaches team.
The person will work with the Support Coordination Manager to support with:

- NDIS knowledge.
- NDIS capacity.
- Mental Health consumer support.
- Database management.
- Portal management.
- Incident management and reporting - internal and external.
- Recruitment and Onboarding of new staff.
- Provide ongoing updates about changes in NDIS, price guide and price guide implementation to the Support Coordination team.

**Your skills and experience**
- Certificate IV or higher in a relevant discipline (e.g., mental health, peer work, disability) or equivalent experience.
- Values consistent with a purpose-driven approach.
- Extended knowledge about NDIS and how to implement NDIS in Mental Health environment.
- Ability to provide supports, facilitating the work of others (not managing them) that is tailored to the need's teams and individuals.
- Willing and able to exercise personal responsibility.
- An understanding of the needs of hard-to-reach communities, CALD, and Aboriginal communities and the LGTBQIA community.
- Work within ODMH policies and protocol.
- Current driver's licence and access to a fully ensured motor vehicle.

**Desirable**
- Experience in working in Support Coordination or Recovery Coach Role.
- Experience in working with staff and volunteers with a lived experience.
- An understanding of trauma-informed practice. An understanding of the importance of working with carers and families.

**Additional Details**

One Door Mental Health requires all staff to have a Police Check clearance, a current Working with Children's Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearance and appropriate COVID-19 Vaccination.
