Marli and Moe are led Jemma, who herself, through her own daughter Marli, has navigated the NDIS system since its introduction.

Our NDIS Support Coordination team are dedicated and experienced support coordinators & specialist support coordinators who have a unique touch to make the navigating through the NDIS as simple as possible. Our personable crew of NDIS Coordinators work closely with participants and the participants family from the get-go, that is our gold standard. We work on personalised goals and desirable outcomes.

The role

We are currently seeking a motivated, proactive, and qualified Specialist Support Co-ordinator to join our amazing, values-driven team working primarily across the Sydney/NSW region with the possibility of supporting inter-state also.

We will provide you with Full-Time hours as required, which we are happy to discuss in your initial interview. We also offer the flexibility of either remote work or hybrid office attendance.

You will be responsible for coordinating supports as articulated in the participant's NDIS plan and will facilitate participants to engage with informal and mainstream services which will support the participant to achieve their goals.

What you will do

Specialist Support Coordination is a role that utilises specialist qualifications and experience and aims to strengthen the abilities of participants, their families or representatives that have appropriate National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) funds by doing things such as the following:

  • Coordinate a range of supports both funded and mainstream.
  • Assist with building the capacity of participants, their families, carers, representatives etc. to ensure they are as independent as possible.
  • Explain the rights and responsibilities to the participant, their families, carers, representatives etc.
  • Assist to build on informal supports.
  • Initial assistance with linking participants with appropriate providers.
  • Resolving points of crisis.
  • Developing participant resilience in their own network and community.

Skills & experience

  • Demonstrates a desire to be involved in a safe and ethical practice.
  • Has undergone relevant training in community, NDIS aged care and/or disability on a company level as a minimum.
  • Has appropriate qualifications and/or experience to fulfill the Specialist Support Coordination role.
  • This person has trained and worked as a Support Coordinator or a Specialist Support Coordinator as the equivalent in other organisations.
  • This person is empathetic and understanding of clients with all types of disabilities and difficulties.
  • This person can discuss difficult situations and issues as required without conflict.
  • This person can liaise well with providers, clients, management, and representatives from other companies.
  • Time management skills are of an above-average level.
  • This person is flexible in nature and understands initiative is a vital quality and engages actively with potential new clientele. This person understands the concept of continuing education and self-directed learning.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and a genuine want for their clients to succeed is a must.
  • Excellent rapport with other health professionals and a willingness to network e.g., GP's, Other providers, Specialists, Allied Health professionals, planners, LAC's etc is essential.
  • Commitment to KPIs as set by organisation to be discussed during interview.
