Compliance Specialist - NDIS Role

We are seeking an experienced Compliance Specialist to join our team, providing essential support to NDIS providers and auditors. This role combines technical expertise, stakeholder engagement, and a proactive approach to maintaining compliance standards.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the overall compliance function of the NDIS team, liaising with regulatory authorities, and overseeing the consistency of the technical review function.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the overall compliance function of the NDIS team
  • Liaise with regulatory authorities including JASANZ and NDIS Commission
  • Oversee the consistency of the technical review function by managing the program
  • Support clients and auditors by answering compliance queries
  • Onboard new auditors and train existing team members
  • Manage accreditation activities including witnessing and internal auditing
  • Support auditor performance management
  • Maintain updated knowledge of the scheme and distribute information as required
  • Prepare for JASANZ accreditation audits
  • Review audit reporting completeness and quality by conducting technical reviews
  • Implement improvements with Operations team members
  • Assist with reporting tasks or fulfill other administration duties as needed
About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Previous experience in a compliance-related role within the NDIS framework
  • Working knowledge of NDIS certification, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance
  • Strong communication skills and a friendly personality
  • Detailed work ethic with a focus on accuracy
  • Methodical approach to managing volume in a logical manner
  • Proactive problem-solving mindset with a focus on efficiency and accuracy
  • Ability to learn quickly and use different technologies
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and Outlook is an advantage but not essential
  • Self-starter with time management skills
  • Able to foster others' success
