We are seeking a driven Disability Support Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in disability services and possess excellent communication skills.

The primary purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with participants, their families, and service providers to ensure the implementation of individual NDIS plans and achievement of participant goals.

You will be responsible for matching participants with community-based, funded, and/or mainstream supports to fulfill their individual needs as per individual NDIS plans.

About You:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or extensive relevant experience in working in disability services, social work, or a similar environment.

You should have experience working competently alongside people, their family, and carers in their local community to build their capacity to participate in the community and manage some or all aspects of their plan.

  • Key Responsibilities:

- Collaborate with participants, their families, service providers, and other stakeholders to implement NDIS Support plans.

- Match participants with community-based, funded, and/or mainstream supports.

- Provide continuous support and assistance across the timeframe of each plan.

- Support participants to build capacity to achieve greater independence.

  • Requirements:

- Tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline or extensive relevant experience.

- Experience working in disability services, social work, or a similar environment.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work autonomously and cooperatively as a member of a team.

- Knowledge of the NDIS Act 2013, Disability Act 2006, and other relevant legislation.
