Fundraising Administration Officer

**The Currumbin Wildlife Hospital Fundraising team supports and funds the vital work of the Currumbin Sanctuary Wildlife Hospital, one of the busiest wildlife hospitals in Australia. **The success of the* department* relies on donations and corporate sponsors to fund the crucial work of the veterinary team, in treating, rehabilitating and releasing, sick, injured and orphaned native wildlife. This role offers a rare opportunity to make a real difference to the health and welfare of native wildlife across the Gold Coast, South East Queensland and the Northern Rivers NSW.

The role of **Fundraising Administration Officer **for the National Trust of Australia QLD (NTAQ) holds dual responsibilities: to support the fundraising team and the teams performing our charitable objectives. The mission of the National Trust of Australia QLD (NTAQ) is to conserve and advance our natural and cultural heritage for everyone, forever.

**Position details & duties**
- You will have the specific duties of driving all elements of fundraising, to showcase the important work of the Wildlife Hospital.
- Fundraising responsibilities will include fundraising campaign development, sourcing and relationship management of corporate sponsorships and partnerships
- Establishing recurring donations
- Regular reporting (e.g. board reports) and being across all parts of the fundraising initiatives and activities
- Monthly reconciliations (e.g. bank accounts, credit cards and reimbursements)
- Managing E-newsletters and other associated projects.
- Be able to work as a team but can branch out and work autonomously
- Have fantastic customer service skills and be across social media platforms
- Work easily within a diverse department
- You will work on a variety of interesting and essential joint tasks for CWHF such as community fundraising projects, event management, donation & database management, public relations and sales to visitors in the Hospital Precinct plus general inquiry duties.
- Selection Criteria: *

- Experience in a Fundraising Development role, preferably within a Foundation or Not-for-Profit organisation with demonstrated results is highly desirable
- Experience in securing corporate sponsorship and partnerships and associated relationship management. Is comfortable with cold calling and securing gifts and donations.
- Desirable to know Smartsheets, a CRM (e.g. Hubspot) or at least the ability to understand new types of software or platforms with ease and the ability to encourage the use of these among the team.
- You will be a person who has focus on customer service and sales, with proven ability to develop solid networks and effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional professional communication standards, both oral and written, with focus on accuracy and attention to detail, warm and genuine interpersonal skills and professional standards of personal presentation.
- Financial ability to accurately report on and manage accounts and donations.
- High standard user level with Microsoft Office products.
- Self-directed; with excellent time management, and ability to work calmly under pressure & meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with legislation covering fundraising activities and associated Fundraising Institute of Australia Code of Conduct is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary & Wildlife Hospital operations is desirable.
- Is comfortable working in a workplace which includes injured animals, reptiles and snakes.
