**Data Officer, Humanitarian Logistics Capability**

**Project Overview and Role**: Through the Humanitarian Logistics Capability (HLC) program, Palladium provides high quality, multifaceted, flexible, and responsive project management, and humanitarian supply chain solutions in support of the Commonwealth of Australia's Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) Humanitarian Emergency Relief activities.

**The HLC Data Officer** will provide a vital role in supporting the effective collection and collation of program data to generate insights through HLC's Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning systems. Insights will be used for ongoing learning and improvement across the team, as well as being communicated back to DFAT to help them to understand and communicate their results in the humanitarian emergency responses that HLC delivers.

**Primary Duties and Responsibilities**:
**Data Input/Entry**
- Collect, collate and enter HLC program data, including performance data
- Work with HLC team to ensure data consistency and quality
- Identify potential new data sources within HLC program information
- Support development and maintenance of information management systems, platforms, databases etc

**Data Insights**
- Respond to requests for information, which could come from HLC team, management or from DFAT.
- Proactively generate insights from data sets - identify trends and patterns to inform program improvement
- Prepare regular reports and create visualisations, infographics as requested

**Support MEL Functions
- Support data analysis for implementation of monitoring and evaluation, including periodic performance reviews, quarterly reporting and other processes outlined in the HLC MEL Plan.
- Support packaging/dissemination of information and knowledge for learning, for HLC and its partners and stakeholders

**Required Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent experience
- Experience working with large amounts of varied data to ensure quality, consistency and accuracy
- Experience or demonstrated ability to assess complex program data to draw out relevant insights and information
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to do routine administrative tasks to a high degree of quality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to develop collaborative relationships with stakeholders

**Desirable**
- Experience in report writing, and in data visualization from data sets, in particular using Power Bi
- Experience in humanitarian assistance, international development or community development sectors
- Demonstrated experience, knowledge or interest in Asia Pacific region
