About the role

This full-time Transport Manager role is responsible for overseeing the efficient and cost-effective transport operations of the TTA Logistics' distribution network based in Glendenning, NSW. You will be a key member of the leadership team, driving continuous improvements and ensuring the safe, on-time delivery of goods for our clients.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage the day-to-day transport operations, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching of vehicles to meet customer requirements
  • Oversee the maintenance and compliance of the vehicle fleet to ensure roadworthiness and regulatory adherence
  • Develop and implement transport strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer service
  • Analyse transport data and prepare reports to identify areas for improvement and optimisation
  • Foster a strong safety culture and ensure all transport activities comply with relevant laws and regulations
  • Collaborate with other departments to align transport activities with the overall business objectives
  • Manage and develop a team of transport coordinators and drivers, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a transport or logistics management role, preferably within the warehousing, storage and distribution industry
  • Strong understanding of transport operations, vehicle management, and distribution logistics
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
  • Proficient in using transport management systems and data analysis tools
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with customers, suppliers, and team members
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team, and drive continuous improvement
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
