Overview
Centre Cook - Mayfield Early Education Allenstown. We are hiring a part-time Cook to join Mayfield Early Education - Allenstown to provide wholesome, delicious, and nutritious meals for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years. This role supports healthy growth and development through quality meals in a supportive early learning environment.
Responsibilities
40 hours per fortnight (approximately 30 hours over 5 days per week with flexibility in timing).
Prepare tasty, nutritious meals that cater to the dietary needs of growing children.
Contribute to fostering healthy eating habits from a young age.
Collaborate in a warm Early Learning centre where teamwork, creativity, and care are valued.
Use fresh ingredients to ensure high-quality meals for our children.
Engage in a vibrant, dynamic workplace with opportunities for creativity.
Qualifications
Passion for creating delicious, nutritious meals suitable for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years.
Experience in meal planning, preparation, and kitchen management, including developing a rotating menu.
Knowledge of dietary restrictions and allergies.
Availability from Monday to Friday.
Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to interact with staff, families, and children.
Adherence to health and safety regulations.
Valid Blue Card.
Food Handling certificate.
Food Safety Supervisor certificate preferred.
First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis & Asthma certification (or willingness to obtain).
