Operating across North America, EMEA and Asia Pacific, Vantage delivers reliability, efficiency and sustainability through innovative data center design that scales with market demand.Position DescriptionThe Senior Site Acquisition Manager supports the Site Selection Director, accelerating Vantage DC's market growth through expert property acquisition and risk-managed capital deployment.
This role requires a seasoned professional with deep market insight, strong stakeholder management, and a track record of navigating complex regulatory environments to secure commercially viable outcomes.ResponsibilitiesSupport the Site Selection Director (SSD) with the execution of long-term business objectives within the property portfolioConduct feasibility analysis, due diligence, TIA assessment, and financial modelling to assess commercial viability of potential acquisitionsAssist SSD in negotiating freehold purchases, lease-to-purchase, and development agreements with property owners, developers, and government agenciesPrepare G1 & G2 documentation; collaborate with legal, finance, customer insight & NSD teams to secure internal project approvalMonitor and report market trends, zoning changes, and infrastructure developments impacting property strategyManage acquisition budgets, timelines and reporting to meet KPIsPrepare and report on new site opportunities, completing assessments prior to nominating sites for consideration by the site selection committeeLead weekly meetings regarding new site opportunitiesSupport development of short-, mid-, and long-term strategic plans for property-level executionEngage with internal planning, finance, legal, construction and delivery teams to align acquisition activities with business objectivesDevelop and sustain external relationships with councils, landowners, regulators, and consultants; navigate complex negotiations with balanced commercial and stakeholder prioritiesKey SkillsApply business and commercial fundamentals to inform planning and decision makingAct as a trusted advisor, communicating a shared vision to engage stakeholdersExceptional stakeholder management with the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholdersBuild teams and organizational capability to deliver results within budget, time and quality targets for asset, facilities, property and project managementStrong communication and interpersonal skills across levelsTechnical knowledge of building services, facilities and property management in the Data Centre and telecommunications industryDrive accountability to meet customer needs and deliver objectivesUnderstand and manage financial position to guide investment and financing decisionsFamiliarity with agile methodologies and adaptability to changeChallenge the status quo and explore alternative possibilitiesQualificationsMinimum 7 years' experience in property acquisition and negotiationExtensive experience managing a significant property portfolio or asset management environmentAbility to manage relationships with conflicting viewpoints and engage with all levels of an organizationBudget management capability for a portfolio or function exceeding $50M per annumCompany InformationWe operate with No Ego and No Arrogance.
