SkyCity is seeking Host Responsibility Coordinators to join the team on a Part Time basis. In this crucial position, you'll oversee the well-being of our customers, diligently monitoring for any signs of problematic gambling behaviour or alcohol-related issues. Cultivating strong relationships with both customers and colleagues, you'll be instrumental in fostering a safe and responsible gaming environment. Overview
Role: Host Responsibility Coordinator (Part Time). You will look after customers' safety and ensure business compliance by supporting the Host Responsibility programme effectively. Tasks include monitoring activities and processes to minimise gambling and alcohol related harm and documenting interactions clearly. Strong communication, comfort with data interpretation across computer systems, and professionalism are essential.
Responsibilities
Monitoring all customers for signs of problematic gambling behaviour and/or alcohol related issues
Building professional relationships with customers, staff and external services as required
Negotiating realistic outcomes to support people to play within their means
Providing support to staff in the identification and reporting of gambling related harm
Reporting to senior staff and regulators as needed on Host Responsibility activities
What you will look like
You must be able to work autonomously and have the availability to work a 24x7 rotating roster that includes days, nights, weekends and public holidays. Outstanding negotiation, written and verbal communication skills are essential. A genuine desire to help people change for the better, a warm, empathetic and approachable personality, and a high level of integrity and confidentiality are equally important. Fluency in a second language is advantageous. Previous experience in the gaming industry, welfare or community service environments will be highly regarded but is not essential.
