Are you the friendly face that lights up a room? Do you thrive in fast-paced environments and love creating memorable guest experiences? We're on the lookout for a professional, energetic, and welcoming Host to join our front-of-house team at our bustling Sydney restaurant. Located on the iconic King Street Wharf, Georges Mediterranean offers a cutting edge bar & restaurant experience.

Our venue is open lunch-dinner during the week, and breakfast-dinner during the weekend. A wide-range of shifts are available and we can offer some much-needed work-life-balance to the right candidate.

This is a high-volume restaurant so experience is preferred. Comprehensive training will be on offer, but this role is perfect for someone ready to hit the ground running. Ideal candidates will be confident in their skill-set and have a genuine drive for amazing customer service. This is a new and growing position within our team and there is plenty of room for progression.

Full time hours are available for the right candidate, but we are also happy to accommodate different scheduling needs if you have a second job or are studying. Weekend availability is required.

Duties include:

  • Greeting and seating guests with warmth and professionalism

  • Managing reservations and walk-ins using our booking system

  • Coordinating with floor staff to ensure smooth table turnover

  • Optimising trade via foot traffic

  • Assisting with guest inquiries and providing exceptional customer service

To thrive in this role, you should exemplify the following qualities:

  • A natural people-person with a warm, approachable demeanour

  • Strong communication and organisational skills

  • Experience in a similar front-of-house or hosting role (preferred but not essential)

  • Ability to stay calm ad collected in a busy, high-volume environment

  • A team player with a strong work ethic and positive attitude

As well as offering a generous 25% staff discount at any of our venues, Georges frequently hosts menu & cocktail tastings. You can also expect a delicious, free meal each shift. We pay award wages and offer an extremely competitive tip package.
