
Administrator, Defined Benefits

**Overview**
This position is responsible for a range of superannuation and administration activities which are part of the Administration Division, relating to the administration of our clients Superannuation products.
The purpose of the role is to ensure that the clients/members are receiving the desired level of administration service within Link's agreement with Trustees. The role will primarily involve processing and peer reviewing of defined benefit payments, complex problem solving, establishing new pensioner memberships, working collaboratively with other Defined Benefit staff members and learning new skills to progress to the next level.
**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
- Processing of defined benefits and related activities within agreed internal and client Service level Agreements (SLA's).
- Conduct personal work queue sweeps to ensure all due work items have been completed on a daily basis.
- Support Team Leader/Manager together with your other team members in fostering day-to-day collaboration and positive teamwork to ensure that your teams' objectives are achieved
- Escalate items being impacted by IT issues or reliance on other areas with team leader every 24 hours after raising a corresponding/formal request following Link's/Teams escalation procedures.
- Advise specialists and team leader as soon as there is a risk of service standards not being met.
- Take on rework feedback from Team Leader or other Specialists and proactively put in place measures to reduce personal rework rate to below 2% whilst ensuring efficiency targets of 80% are met.
- Action any formal complaint requests for information within 24 hours of receipt
- Comply with legislative (eg AML, SIS) and licence (eg AFSL, RSE) obligations, including the maintenance of up-to-date self-development of required skills and scheme/fund knowledge.
- Identify or suggest at least one productivity or process improvement annually
- Display behaviours where problems are raised with proposed solutions
- Show initiative for project work
- Liaise with internal and external clients where applicable
- Ensure accurate reporting of Enlighten Statistics.
- Participate in team meetings and huddles proactively raising issues/solutions relating to day to day operations.
- Continuously update procedural documents/databases where applicable.

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Extensive hands on experience in the administration of Superannuation and/or Defined Benefits (minimum of 2 years)
- Comprehensive knowledge of superannuation legislation and procedures
- Experience with the principles of defined benefits is desirable
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
- Excellent Word and Excel skills
- Ability to think laterally and analytically
