**Overview**
- This position is responsible for a range of superannuation and administration activities which are part of the Defined Benefits team, relating to the administration of our clients Superannuation products.- The purpose of the role is to ensure that the clients/members are receiving the desired level of administration service within Link's agreement with Trustees. The role will primarily involve supporting the broader defined benefits team and its leaders with the more complex and non-BAU functions. This will include taking the lead on certain projects and other periodic deliverables as directed by the Services Manager.**Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities**
- Strategic Focus- Be a critical & accountable stakeholder with DB projects relating to transitions or other change initiatives
- Work with our IT counterparts to ensure production corrections or enhancements are properly understood and delivered satisfactorily
- Be a DB data expert and support the integrity practices embedded in the teams, on occasion taking ownership of more complex issues
- Provide SME insight into problems and direct / deliver the required solutions
- Demonstrate willingness to impart key process and system knowledge at all times
- Take responsibility for assigned administration issues - manage through to implementation within agreed timeframes
- Maximise efficiency and quality of all output
- Support BAU servicing as required from time to time
- Operational Management- Lead the technical side of the annual review program for DB teams, providing direction and support for team leaders
- Identify process improvement opportunities and support the change management practices to support the implementation of related initiatives
- People Leadership- Be a pillar of knowledge for the broader team and support coaches with training initiatives
- Governance & Risk- Support team leaders with incident management tasks, ensuring rectification is holistic and verifying required outcomes
- Comply with legislative (eg AML, SIS) and licence (eg AFSL, RSE) obligations, including the maintenance of up-to-date self-development of required skills and scheme/fund knowledge.

**Experience & Personal Attributes**
- Experience with the complex principles of defined benefits is required (min 5 years / 10+ years preferred)
- Extensive hands-on experience in administrative functions
- Comprehensive knowledge of superannuation legislation and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to operate independently and meet deadlines
- Ability to think laterally and solve problems
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills (ability to create strong network)
- Excellent Word and Excel skills
- Leadership experience would be a positive
